When faced with the knowledge that graffiti artists aren’t all thuggy-looking poor young boys in the ghetto, they come from all classes, races, ages, genders, all demographics have participants in this dialogue, you can’t help but realize that the whack-a-mole approach will never get the result the critics hope for. Due to the sheer size and reach of participation, how about some (perhaps a lot) of free, genuinely public art space? This film, shot beautifully, years in the making and brilliantly edited, is designed to make you think and reconsider assumptions about public space.
