Banksy Bombs and Gets the ‘The Griersons’ Gong
Banksy landed the ‘The Griersons’ most exciting documentary award this week at the annual Grierson Trust awards in London . Banksy’s documentary, “Exit Through the Gift Shop” was labeled by jury chairman Emma Hindley said: “The winner was a unanimous decision. It’s a flawlessly made film; original and insightful, it asks questions rather than telling you what to think and at the same time, manages to be very, very funny.”[1] Banksy joked: “This is a very proud moment for me. I’ve always dreamt of winning a Grierson Award ever since I first heard about them two weeks ago.” [2]
