2ESAE Benefit at GRL!

The kind and talented folks at Graffiti Research Lab are throwing 2 ESAE a benefit on Monday October 22nd at Eyebeam in NYC from 6-9pm. 2Esae was one of the first people that I interviewed for Bomb It back in the Summer of 2004 and he was was one of the original inspirations for making this film.

He has been sentenced to at least three months in NYC for graffiti and is facing up to an additional seven years (!) which he will have to fight while in jail on his first conviction. If you live in New York or are visiting there this week – please go support him. When “Bomb It” comes out in NYC – our screenings will be benefits for 2Esae and KET – we’ll keep you posted on this too.

Update on KET Case

3 time felon, A letter from Alain.

“As many of you might have heard in the news I have plead guilty to each case against me. After a year of dealing with this ordeal it’s almost over. I plead guilty to one charge in each case only. The deal that my lawyers worked out yielded the following: Three (3) felony convictions on my record $15,000 in fines and restitution. A mural as community service to be painted by me for Brooklyn A 3-year conditional discharge.

It’s a tough deal but one that involved no prison time.
